Congratulations !!! Asian Trekking's International Dream Everest Exp 2011 team reached to the top of North Side of Mt.Everest

Asian Trekking's International Dream Everest Expedition 2011 member Abdulkhalim Elmezov of Russia along with his Sherpa Nima Dorje reached the Summit of Mt.Everest fron North Side (Tibet) at 06 am. This is the first team reaching the Summit from North Side in this Spring Climbing Season.

Asian Trekking's International Dream Expedition leader Bill Burke ( USA )along with Abdulkhalim Elmezov ( Russia ), Douglas Scarborough ( Australia/USA) and climbing sherpa sirdar Mingma Sherpa, Phura Chhotar Sherpa, Furba Nuru Sherpa, Nima Dorjee and Fur Gyaljen Sherpa will be the first group to attempt the summit from the north side of Everest for the spring season 2011. They will start from  Camp 3 ( 8,300m ) tonight and will aim to reach the summit tomorrow morning, 20th May .

Advance Base Camp established at an altitude of 6400m and all members arrived ABC on 21 April and Puja (Blessing) was held on 22 April to have blessing from the Mountain God and permission to climb. As per our communication with our staff at ABC, the health condition of all members and staffs are good.

Asian Trekking's International Dream Everest Expedition led by Bill Burke of USAestablished Base Camp on Monday the 11th April at an altitude of 5250m. This is the first complete team arriving Base Camp of·the north side of Mt.Everest. They plan to establish intermediate camp on 14th April at an altitude of 5800m and Advance Base Camp on 17th at an altitude of 6400m and will move to ABC on 18th April.

As per the telephone conversation with our Sirdar Mingma Sherpa, the health condition of all members and Sherpas are very well.The team left from Kathmanduto·the Chinese border on·Wednesday·the 6th April. There are 4 members( Bill Burke of USA, David Liano of Mexico, Douglas Scarborough of·Australia and Abdulkhalim Elmezov of Russia), climbing Sherpas include Sirdar Mingma Sherpa, Phura Nuru Sherpa, Furba Chotar Sherpa, Phur·Geljen Sherpa, Ngima Dorjee Sherpa.Cook Chandra Bahadur Tamang, Raj Kumar Sunuwar and Karna Rai.

This year, Mr.Bill Burke is back again with us for the forth time. In 2009, Bill made history by being the oldest American to summit Mt. Everest. This year Bill, together with Mexican David Liano, will be on their second attempt to climb both the north and south sides of Mt. Everest(8848m) and Mt.Lhotse(8516m)·in one climbing season.
