Although there was a massive avalance, thankfully, no one was hurt. In a couple of days our members and Sherpas will begin their long waited summit push. Much love to all our families, friends and followers of our climb".

They are looking foward this rotation as the three plan on skiing from Camp 2 to the glacier. As for Ravi and I, we are the first climbers to sleep at Camp 2 this season. We are resting at ABC waiting for our summit push. We are thankful to our cook Raj Kumar for all the delicious food and the great baked goodies. Much love to our family and friends". Cleo

Friday, 16 September:

Message from Cleo Weidlich from Camp 2 of Shishapangma "We had our Puja ceremony on Monday and on Tuesday early morning we began our climb to Camp I. The approach to Camp I was arduos and dangerous as we travel up and down moraines highly susceptible to rock slides. After reaching mid camp we had a short walk to the glacier that we must climb to reach Camp 1. We arrived at our camp under heavy snow fall but glad that the whole team was able to complete the first rotation. Matina, Ludwig and Colorado ace skier opted to shred the hill between Camp 1 and the glacier. Ravi and I have moved to Camp 2 today".
