Itinerary
Trip Itinerary
1 Fly from Kathmandu airport over the majestic Himalayan Range to Gonggar Airport. Drive to Lhasa (3650m-11,972ft) and transfer to your hotel. Have rest to acclimatize to the altitude.
2 Lhasa sightseeing: Tour of Drepung, Sera Monastery and Barkhor Market.
3 Lhasa sightseeing : Tour of Potala Palace, Jokhang & Norbulingka summer palace
4 Drive to Gyantse (3950m-12,956ft) via Yamdrok Tso and the Karola Pass (5050m-16500ft). Sightseeing of Khumbum Stupa, Palkhor Monastery.
5 Drive to Shigatse (3900m-12,792ft). Sightseeing of Tashilhunpo Monastery.
6 Drive to Shegar ( 4350m-14,268ft) enroute visit the Sakya monastery
7 Drive to Zangmu ( 2350m-7708 ft) enroute visit the Milerapa's cave.
8 After immigration formalities cross border to Nepal and drive back to Kathmandu.
