Itinerary

Trip Itinerary

    1 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

2 Day for Tibet Visa procedure : Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley Swyambunath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square

3 Tour of Boudhanath stupa, Pashupathi temple and Patan Durbar Square.

4 Fly from Kathmandu airport over the majestic Himalayan Range to Gongar Airport and drive to Tsedang (3415m-11,201ft). In the afternoon visit Yambulakhang and Chaduk monastery.

5 Tsedang. Visit to Samye monastery.

6 Drive to Lhasa (3650m-11,972ft) En route visit Mindroling monastery. Have rest to acclimatize to the altitude.

7 Tour of Drepung, Sera Monastery and Barkhor Market.

8 Tour of Potala Palace, Jokhang & Norbulingka summer palace

9 Drive to Ganden. Visit Ganden Monastery and drive back to Lhasa.

10 Drive to Gyantse (3950m-12,956ft) via Yamdrok Tso and the Karola Pass (5050m-16500ft). Sightseeing of Khumbum Stupa, Palkhor Monastery.

11 Drive to Shigatse (3900m-12,792ft). Sightseeing of Tashilhunpo Monastery.

12 Drive to Shegar ( 4350m-14,268ft) enroute visit the Sakya monastery

13 Drive to Rongbuk (5000m-16,400ft); visit Everest base camp (17,056ft) and drive to Nyalam (3750m-12,300ft)

14 Drive to Zangmu ( 2350m-7708 ft) enroute visit the Milerapa's cave

15 After immigration formalities cross border to Nepal and drive back to Kathmandu.

16 Kathmandu. Free day for shopping.

    17 Departure to your destination

Package Details

Cost Includes

• Airport-hotel-airport transfers

• Twin sharing accommodation in Kathmandu for 5 nights –breakfast basis at a good tourist class hotel

• Sightseeing in Kathmandu with English speaking guide, entrance fees and transportation

• Standard hotel accommodation on a twin sharing basis with breakfast in Tibet.

• Guided sightseeing tour with Tibetan English speaking guide, entrance fees at the monasteries/ monuments.

• Transportation as per program.

Cost Does not Include

• Airfare Kathmandu-Lhasa.

• Tibet visa fee and urgent fees if applicable

• Lunch, dinner and refreshments

• Photography charges in monasteries

• Any cost arising due to land slides, political disturbance, strikes, cancellation of flights, deviation in program

• Re-entry Nepal visa

• Meals in Kathmandu and in Tibet.
